Direct Adaptive Blind Linear Equalization over Fading Multipath Channels

چکیده

Adaptive blind equalization for multipath channels has gained widespread intention in wireless communication applications. Unfortunately, inherent distortion in multipath channel requires sophisticated equalization algorithms. Thus, computational complexity reduction has motivated the use of dithered signed-error constant modulus algorithm (DSE-CMA) to replace the widely used CMA algorithm. In this work, we compare performance of DSE-CMA and CMA algorithms for the purpose of blind equalization on wireless multipath channel. We examine the algorithms using the recently published hyperbolic channel model for macrocells in urban areas.
